A powerful and age-worthy natural white from Provence — complex, textured and deeply mineral.

The emblematic cuvée of Domaine Milan, produced for over 20 years and known for its elegance and remarkable aging potential.

Complex and structured, it shows notes of fennel, garrigue and ripe orchard fruits with a long, stony and mineral finish. A deep and expressive white that evolves beautifully over time and pairs effortlessly with refined dishes or simply with time in the glass.

Domaine Henry Milan — Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France

The Milan family are pioneers of natural winemaking in Provence. Working biodynamically since the early 2000s, their estate in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence produces powerful, terroir-driven wines from old vines. Their approach is uncompromising — native yeasts, no sulfur, no filtration — resulting in wines of extraordinary depth and character. Discover their wines: Brut Nature Blanc, Brut Nature Rosé, C.L.O.S. Milan, Haru Blanc, Le Grand Blanc, and Papillon Rouge.

Founded in 1956 in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence by Robert Milan, Domaine Milan began as a modest Provençal estate struggling to find its place in the regional wine market. By the 1970s, the vineyard faced near abandonment.

In 1986, Robert's son Henri Milan took over, leaving behind law studies to pursue a radically different vision. Driven by instinct and experimentation, Henri embraced organic and biodynamic viticulture, eliminated chemical inputs, and became an early pioneer of natural winemaking without added sulfites. His work, guided by a deep understanding of the estate's blue marl and limestone soils, shaped wines of strong personality and terroir expression.

The path was not easy. Reduced yields, financial instability, discarded sulfite-free vintages, and even Henri's stroke in 2002 brought the estate close to collapse. Yet perseverance prevailed.

From 2011 onward, Henri's son Théophile Milan, joined later by his sister Emmanuelle and a dedicated team, gradually took over management while preserving the estate's experimental and independent spirit. The wines are crafted plot by plot, expressing the unique limestone scree and blue marl terroirs of the Alpilles.

Today, Domaine Milan stands as one of Provence's most respected natural estates, known for emotionally charged cuvées such as Clos Milan, Le Jardin, La Carrée, and Le Grand Blanc — wines born from conviction, resilience, and artistic vision.
